LARRY BEAR

Who’s Larry Bear you may ask? He’s an anthropomorphic bear and a lazy one at that! He was raised by a couple living in a cabin in the woods and doesn’t really fit in with the other bears as he’s too ‘modern’ for them. As lazy and laid back as he can be at times, Larry enjoys inventing gadgets to open bags of chips and pour him breakfast in order to make his life as finger lifting-free as possible.

When he’s not napping, gaming or stuffing his face with honey flavoured snacks, Larry hangs out with his pals Travis, a know-it-all raccoon who’s wrong about everything and Henry, a hippy owl. Larry lives in a cave with his pet cat, Princess Fluffington the only female who constantly wants his attention, that is until Hope enters the picture.

HOPE SHMAMUEL

Meet Hope Shmamuel. She’s a self-righteous 20-something straight outta college looking to conquer love and then maybe, the world! This career-driven firecracker comes out swinging with grand plans of running her own enterprise and becoming the next Oprah Winfrey with the help of the Universe guiding her way of course.

Her love life however, is a steaming hot mess. Having gone out with a string of one date wonders, the latest being Jerry the ‘Goodbye Wallet Guy’, Hope is ready to find true love no matter what it takes. She soon discovers a new dating site, ‘Bears That Care.com’ and signs up out of curiosity. She soon gets matched with the one and only Larry Bear.

MR. SHMAMUEL

Hope’s dad, Mr. Shmamuel is a retired CEO of a company that sells gold. He’s usually seen in his pjs, robe and bunny slippers –‘cause hey, he’s retired – and can’t figure out for the life of him what his daughter sees in that bear.

On a rare quiet day at home, Mr.Shmamuel loves to relax and enjoy his newspaper with a strong cup of coffee and listen to Bob Marley that is until Larry arrives to pick up Hope on a date.
